2010 —LOUIS VUITTON
To celebrate the traditional Arabian racing ‘Dhows’ during the Louis Vuitton Trophy Series, the haute fashion label commissioned Nadine to work on a photographic exhibit as a tribute to the traditional maritime traditions of Dubai. The series, ‘Al Madi Al Hader’, a collection of nine photographic creations, celebrated the hand-crafted quality of the dhows. Adding layers to the images, she employed her signature Arabic calligraphy, crafting silver patterns, letters and numbers relating of life at sea. Through Silver, a metal known to lose shine with time and in contact with water, Nadine salutes the ever evolving relationship between man, nature and time.
